Our wooden beam chandeliers, hanging lights & cluster pendant lights, are designed, & handcrafted in our Devon Studio. Each is individual, designed to fit your space & enhance your interior. Our made to measure service ensures your chandelier fits perfectly within your space with minimal adjustments needed. This chandelier is designed to display living plants on the top of the timber. This gorgeous Norwegian spruce is reclaimed from the Tiger Brewery in Burton-upon-Trent which was demolished in 2017. The spruce is 22cm wide, a good wide canopy for plant pots, the length is your choice - we can make recommendations, see the list below of lengths that work well (these lengths & bulb numbers below are how the chandelier is priced on this website, should you want a longer piece with less or more bulbs than our recommendation, please get in touch as there will be a price difference). WARNING: This is NOT an IP65 rated fixture, it is not suitable for outdoor use. We will use waterproof compound in the junction box to keep the cables splash proof on the top of the fixture, & use the same compound in the lamp holders to keep them water resistant against accidental drips. We will also treat the timber with waterproof paint & seal the cable holes to help prevent water dripping down onto the lamp holders, however the lamp holders will not be waterproof (IP65 rated). Therefore, when watering your plants please take them down from the fixture - DO NOT water them whilst on top of the light. Plants should also stand in sealed pots with no drainage holes, water should not be allowed to pool on the top of the fixture. Allow excess water to drain away from the plants before placing them back on the fixture. We can make this fixture with IP65 waterproof lamp holders, these are much bigger to accommodate the water proofing gel around the electrics & come in a variety of colours which you can see here. The listing photos also show a fixture hung using one central heavy duty ceiling rose with four hooks because of the position of the existing roof timbers, however our chandeliers are normally shipped with two single hooks (included in the price, see listing photos of components). If you would prefer the single central hook there will be an additional charge of 30. The chandelier is also shown with articifcial plants on the top of the timber, we also make a water resistant version if you would like to display live plants. COLOUR CHOICES - CABLES, COMPONENTS & TIMBER FINISH You choose the exact piece of timber that we use for your fixture. We will send you photos & videos for your approval. We can stain the timber & have a range of colours available.
