This perfectly formed sculptural piece of studio pottery was bought in Germany where I'm assuming it was also made. The ball vase is made from red clay & glazed inside & out with a lovely mottled olive green hue. The narrow mouth to the vase lends it to being a perfect vessel for an ikebana arrangement of just a few stalks or flowers, but is also a good stand-alone display piece.
