This beautiful Moroccan Beni Ourain style wool rug was hand-knotted in Morocco, Moroccan women used a natural virgin lamb wool to create this antique rug. Additionally the mixture of colors is very elegant & can suit any space, you can either place it next to your couch, bed or your floor, either way will be enjoyable & accessible to a huge amount of warmth. The Beni Ourain tribes of Morocco's middle Atlas Mountain region are prolific carpet makers due to the cold in these mountains, the are normally very heavy long pile rugs to insulate & keep them warm, the are also used to sleep on & the long pile wool keeps in their warmth. Our small team of women artisans is grateful every day for the opportunity they have to continue in these traditions, & provide for their families.
