VERY LARGE Antique French Red Transferware Bowl By Pexonne 1800s, Birds & Floral Decor, French Brocante A stunning bowl that was part of a wash set originally. The Red is such a pretty shade, mixed with pinks. It was made by the prestigious maker Pexonne & the mark dates the bowl to the late 1800's. The model is 'Rocaille' which means Rock Garden & it is a lovely mix of different bird & floral scenes, very pretty. The bowl is in good condition. It has no chips, there is one very small minor hair, see photos for details. There are a couple of very small discolored spots & a tiny stain in the bowl. A little bit of delicate crazing adds to the aged look. It's a beautiful piece & could be used for many different things, as a wash bowl, maybe a large planter for herbs or bulbs, or as a large Salad serving bowl, how useful!! Approx.
