Dimensions 86 x 43 x 119 cm (W x D x H) This elegant display showcase in teak veneer was designed by Swiss architect Dieter Wckerlin & produced by Behr in Germany. The minimalist cabinet sits on a black metal base & has glass corners in the front. This is a rare showcase from Waeckerlins B-Series was designed in the 1950s. Waeckerlin was a cabinet maker, interior architect & furniture designer from Switzerland. His mid-century furniture is characterized by a puristic design language, especially visible in his famous sideboards. He developed furniture systems with Le Corbusier & became known for his collaboration with manufacturer Behr in Osnabrck. The showcase comes in wonderful refinished condition with only minor traces of use, some small scratches & bumbs on the wood & on the steelframe, very tiny marks on the edges, nothing that detracts.
