6 wedding glassware flower petal candle holders, Holmegaard Sidse Werner Multi purpose bowl, egg cups, bridal table decor 6 beautiful glass candle holders designed by Sidse Werner in 1979 for Holmegaard Glasvrk, Denmark. Flowershaped with 6 petals, sleek on the inside & rugged on the outside. Or are they really egg cups? Could they be ashtrays? Little serving bowls? Or are they meant to be small cellars for finger salt? Sidse Werner wanted people to find all possible usage for her Multi Range series. She was a true master of creating items that people could use every day; items that were useable, durable & visually stunning at the same time. These small bowls are a perfect example of that. Height: Around 2 inches or a little over 5 cm - the diameter is 3 1/2/9cm - size varies a little from piece to piece. All are in perfect vintage conditon, no damage or sign of usage-some still have the original Holmegaard sticker. The listing is for 6 bowls - perfect as wedding decor or small gifts foguests etc I have several of these small beauties for sale, so if you are interested in more - or other sizes, please convo me. Sidse Werner's craftmanship & ingenuity as a designer was outstanding. Her philosophy: Rather one good thing than 10 of mediocre standard was way ahead of her time & is possibly one of the reasons that her designs are as popular today as they were then. Unfortunately it ended all too soon; Sidse Werner passed away in 1989 only 57 years old.
