Description
This is a beautiful saggar fired Raku vase. I created it by first hand throwing a vase & letting it dry. Then I coated it with Terra Sigillata to give it that smooth shiny texture. Then it is bisque fired & let cool. I then coat the vase with ferric chloride & wrap in aluminum foil. It is placed in the Raku kiln & heated to 1400 degrees F. I pull it out of the kiln & let it cool. The aluminum foil (whatever is left of it!) is removed & I wash the vase. Then I have this beautiful vase with colors ranging from mainly yellow & black & even some red & pink. Each one comes out differently. You will fall in love with this vase when you see it!
