SUN FACE WALL ART OR TABLE DECOR - MYSTICAL ICON OF MEDITATING SILENT ATEN FACE The inspiration for this sun comes from Aten, which was the disc of the sun in ancient Egyptian mythology, & was originally an aspect of the god Ra. The deified Aten was the focus of the religion of Atenism established by 18th Dynasty pharaoh Amenhotep IV. It is the symbol of the sun disc & reaching rays of light. Our wonderful brother, Rick Chouinard, has created his own unique & original molds, & then poured or shaped these creations by hand. All are made with great care & love. Every one is individually hand painted, so each is a new & unique one-of-a-kind piece of art. He crafts all his art & draws his inspiration from his home in Salem, MA, where he has lived & worked his whole life. This sun face is made from permastone - similar to ceramic, but harder & more durable. The face & surrounding rays are painted in bright gold, with the rest of the stone painted in brilliant blue. The visage has a peaceful yet joyful expression. It measures 3 diameter around & about 1 at it's highest depth. It's solid. This sun face sculpture has a slanted indentation in the back to make for easy hanging on your wall - or use it for a desk ornament or paperweight. It fits anywhere in your home or office!
