Fitting four lights this piece is perfect as an advent candle holder (Celebrating advent you light a candle the first 4 Sundays in December. First sunday you light one candle. Second sunday you light 2 candles, etc.). It is from the 70s in Denmark, & is elegant & simple - but can easily be decorated with additional holiday themed items like red berries & holly. It is made of brass, with a massive ring with wonderful shaped candleholders. All parts are very well made, thick & of high quality. It has very little patina considering its age, but enough to ensure that vintage Christmas vibe, bringing back the memories of Christmases long long ago.
