This is a wheel-thrown vase painted with purple terra sigillata (colored clay slip), burnished to a glossy sheen, & kiln fired for a highly durable finish. A permanent blue-to-red fire cloud effect was applied to the pot during a second quick firing process to create a unique background to the vase. This vessel is perfect for holding flowers or stand-alone display. Please note that this vessel is made of a low-fire earthenware clay & does not hold water.
