A really nice Advents candle holder, in a fantastic simple but elegant shape with black metal base with red four wooden apples. This is a mid-century 60s version of a traditional Scandinavian Christmas decoration, design by Bo Sweden. All households in Sweden will have an Advents ljusstake as they are called. The tradition behind these is, that one lights one candle at the time, each Sunday in December, before Christmas, as a countdown to the main event. This gives a very special feeling & is a very old tradition. The shape of this candleholder is what makes it so special, it is simple, very much of its time, but has a contemporary feeling & gives a homely & warm feeling which give an elegant & sophisticated appearance & will be an amazing centerpiece in any setting.
