Description
This delightful little plate was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1830. The plate features a blue transfer printed design featuring a man on his way to market, leaving his wife & children, the scene is titled 'Come Up Donkey'. The plate also features the most decorative moulded border featuring hand painted floral detailing. This is such a decorative plate, it will display excellently in any collection or in a farmhouse folk art interior. A fine example of early English nurseryware.
