Description
This is a hand thrown mug glazed in a matte cream with speckles with green & sea blue glazes that drip & flow together. Interior is a light tan. It has a curvy profile & hand pulled handle. It holds 14 ounces of your favorite drink & is dishwasher safe. This item starts as a lump of clay, roughly one pound, then is thrown on the wheel into a cup. I then trimmed the bottom smooth & added the handle. After drying for a few days it is bisque fired to harden it for glazing. After glazing it is fired again at a hotter temperature that melts the glaze that cools to a glossy, smooth finish with vibrant colors. Since these handmade items are not mass produced there may be small imperfections, bumps, wrinkles, & drips. These are not uncommon & I see them as giving the pieces unique character.
