Etsy - OriginalHomewares Vintage Midcentury Danish Rosewood Glass Front Bookcase
Description
Beautiful, deeply patterned & richly toned rosewood takes centre stage on this neatly proportioned, glass-fronted bookcase. It’s a particularly elegant piece with fine design details from the discreet, simple handles; the gently tapered legs; & the refined, thin surround on the front doors to show off your books & precious treasures inside. There are three shelves – two on the left & one on the right, & these are height adjustable. Despite its Danish midcentury heritage, this design & dark wood would fit also into a more traditionally-styled space from lounge to hallway to bedroom. This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in excellent condition, dating from the 1960s/1970s. It’s made with a stunning rosewood / rosewood veneer & it’s solid & stable. We have cleaned & polished this piece. It is a vintage item however so does carry some minor marks from wear & tear in line with its age. There is one small area to note which can be seen in our photos. As you look at the piece from the front there is a patch of veneer damage at the back right edge. It isn’t very noticeable at all as it’s at the back edge & is small. Please refer to our photos for a good sense of condition (note: the photo that shows the top surface has a light reflection – this isn’t an area of fading). The Danish furnituremakers control sticker is affixed to the back. If you have any questions, please do ask. Dimensions H: 85cm / W: 100cm/ D: 33cm to handle & 30cm top surface Delivery If you’re unable to collect this piece yourself, we can arrange delivery with some excellent delivery drivers who cover most of the UK mainland that we have used many times before. They are reliable & insured. Their service does require some flexibility as they work to set routes so will specify the earliest date that they are next in your area. This is usually within 1-4 weeks. Vintage Midcentury Danish Rosewood Glass Front Bookcase
