Made from Hand-spun wool & utilizing a unique technique of double dying wool skeins to create beautiful transitions between color fields. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to connect with these women to supply them with everything they need for production & ensure they are paid fairly. They no longer have to wait for middle-man merchants to pass through their villages offering to buy rugs at too low cost to then resell to larger rug houses in the major cities across Morocco. Most of the women we work with weave at home while others work in local collectives with other weavers together. It is a beautiful community of sisterhood & shared experience gathered around craft. These rugs are handmade utilizing the same traditional construction they have been made for hundreds of years.
