Red Stocking with Star Wood Slice Ornament - Give the gift of original folk art with the hand painted mini wood slice! Display on a holiday tree, in a wreath, or on a shelf. DESIGN - Red stocking with white cuff, stuffed with pine sprigs, with a single tiny hanging gold star. Background is a light brown. Plenty of highlights & shading give this mini painting depth. SIZE: Will measure roughly 2.5-3.25 inches in diameter, & 1/4 to 1/2 inches thick (not including hanger). Sealed with satin varnish. Back side is unpainted, but sealed. Shape will vary, as each piece of wood is different - some are more round, some more oval, some freeform, etc. FINISHING: Sealed on all sides with 2-3 coats of protective gloss varnish. Top has a metal screw eye with twine hanger. Comes with in gift box, ready for gift giving! PERSONALIZATION: If desired, we can personalize the back with 1-3 words. OUR WOOD: We do not purchase mass produced slices from a craft store - We cut, dry, slice, dry again, sand, paint, & seal our wood slice ornaments right here in Washington State! Wood is sustainably collected from local fallen branches & dried for about a year before use. As we do not cut down trees, wood type will vary.
