Vintage new; took out of box for photograph. This heavy glass ruby red serving bowl is from the Avon 1876 Cape Cod Collection. Embossed pattern. Bowl measures approximately 8.5 inches in diameter & 3 inches tall. Scalloped edge. Beautiful on your dining table as a solo piece or a great addition to your Avon 1876 Cape Cod dinnerware set. The 1876 pattern is based on an old sandwich glass pattern & was inspired by the classic Roman rosette pattern, introduced in 1975 by Wheaton Glass for Avon. Wheaton was commissioned to do the pieces, since the company was already making decorative decanters for Avon. Avon made these from 1975 until it was officially discontinued in 1995. 37 different pieces were made.
