A drinks cabinet sideboard by iconic British furniture makers G Plan in the 1960s, one of their sought after classic well made pieces. Having a large open display & storage section to the left with a mirrored shelf which can adjust or be removed, as well as a light which turns on & off in the cupboard & plugs into the mains at the back. The cupboard to the right has a drop down door to reveal a cocktail cabinet with a mirrored drinks preparation area on the back of the door, as well as a fixed rebated shelf. At the top there is a wide useful drawer which is sectioned with a black baize lining. There are two dovetailed drawers at the bottom, both very deep with the one to the left being very wide & sectioned, a perfect size to store your vinyl record collection or wine bottles. The sideboard sits on a typical retro frame with tapered legs & solid brass adjustable feet. The whole piece has been professionally painted in a dark grey durable VOC & toxin free mineral paint with a retro design to some areas in gold, then finished with a clear wax for added durability & effect. The frame & legs has been painted in a black mineral paint then waxed. The drawers are all dovetailed & the handles are all the original g plan in gold, all in excellent condition. All in all a quality well made retro piece as you can expect from g plan brought up to date with a retro design. Measuring...
