Description

A cocktail cabinet from the 1960s mid century from British furniture makers Turnidge of London. This upright piece with full height cupboards has two leaves that opens up & out to both sides to providing a large working preparation area with an oval shaped glass inset in the middle section. Through the glass can be seen the light in the section below, which can be turned on & off by the switch in this area. The light can then be plugged into the mains from the back & has been re wired by a professional electrician with extra lead added for ease of placement. This is a large storage area perfect for numerous wine glasses with a mirrored back (some age related marks on the mirror). Below this there is a useful drawer the full width of the cabinet, then below a further large storage cupboard with a pyramid shaped wine bottle holder. The insides of the doors both have a set of cocktail pins & a lemon squeezer. The cabinet stands on small strong Queen Anne shaped feet. The whole piece has been professionally painted in a blue VOC & toxin free mineral paint with an Art Deco design on both doors in bronze, then sealed with a flat clear wax for extra durability & effect. The back & sides of the large base cupboard has been decoupaged with an Art Deco print, as has the underside of the two top fold out leaves. This surface has been sealed with a water based acrylic which provides a durable wipeable finish. Measuring...
