This listing details three wonderfully rustic Industrial Wooden Spools/Bobbins. PLEASE NOTE: the price is for ONE spool only & does not include any other items in my photos which are for display only. You can make your quantity selection from the drop down box. Made of wood with metal rims at one end, these came from an old textile mill in Manchester & I am told date circa 1940/50. Each spool is brimming with character & is dented & scuffed from it's years of use. Please see my photos in close up for more details as they make up part of the description. Each spool measures 14 cm long x 4.5 diameter at the metal end & 5 cm diameter at the other end. A little piece of history on it's own, I have a few of these myself which I use for storing ribbon & embroidery threads; they are perfect for that. They also look great on display. & make a beautifully quirky flower holder for dried seed heads or as a candle holder. They hold a narrow tapered candle. A perfect gift for a sewing enthusiast too.
