Plant Study #1 was created in the Pacific Northwest in the late 1990's. Monoprinting is a form of printmaking in which an image is made from a smooth surface or 'plate' coated in printing ink, in this case the plate was made of glass. in contrast with other printing techniques, only one final image is made, making the technique closer to drawing or painting than other print processes. The original print, made onto 9x12 paper, is offered here in its original size on textured, exhibition quality cotton-based paper with archival gicle ink, faithfully reproducing the original work. UNFRAMED prints are measured at the print itself & do not include a white matte border. HOW ARE FRAMED PRINTS MEASURED? FRAMED prints are measured at the frame with prints mounted on archival-quality mat. HOW IS IT FRAMED? Modern style aluminum frames are offered in lightly textured bronze, black, & silver finishes. The depth of the frame is approximately 0.75. Crystal-clear plexiglass or glass is used as glazing, depending on frame size. DAMAGE-FREE GUARANTEE: If for any reason, your print is delivered in anything less than perfect condition, we will happily replace the item at no additional cost.
