Antique late 19th. Century Gilded Salon Sofa & Marble Topped Table A rear find, these lavishly gilded Sofa & Table were made in the style of the famous Louis XV Elise Palace Chairs, oozing a past romantic era, made around 1850 they've already had a life however, but still retain a lot of faded charm with their heavily carved/moulded wooden framework & complimented with a rich, dark blue Back Panels which have the classic tapestry of the renown 'Flower Girl' motif which was very fashionable during this period symbolising a time of innocence, a place of peace & country life, the Seat Cushions have a tapestry of a rustic floral bouquet with gold & bronze foliate border. Condition is presentable & useable with plenty of seat & back support, the fabric is dose show signs of 'thread bare' areas & the paintwork/woodwork is chipped in places otherwise they are clean & dust free ready to use. We do have the remaining suite which comprised of 4 Chairs which will be listed later should you require further items.
