Cover with a thin cloth (such as a tea-towel). With the iron on maximum, (and without steam) apply firm pressure for 30-40 seconds. Apply firm pressure once more from the underside of the chosen material (another 30-40 seconds) to ensure good attachment. Advice: Having experienced patches peel over time, I am now in the habit of adding a few stitches for structural integrity & peace of mind. Move the iron in a circular motion as you apply pressure. This will allow you to ensure all edges of the patch are heated properly. Avoid using on synthetic materials (some of them can't take the heat). Wash the item inside out. Finally, enjoy your patch!
