hand turned, one off, YEW wood vase. Tree felled by tree surgeon in the grounds of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, Morningside, Edinburgh & being turned to chippings. Unfortunately only three small logs remained & three small vases were turned. Available individually or as a pair or a three (if each vase still available in my shop, request a collective price please). Finished in several coats of Danish Oil giving the piece some protection against moisture/splashes but please avoid getting the vase wet. Further coats of oil will help maintain the lustre over the years. Pictures never do the wood justice to this lovely grain variation & warm hues in this finely turned lightweight vase. Makers mark pyrography hand written on base shows timber type, where sourced & when completed along with makers initials PMY Many thanks for looking & any questions are most welcome.
