A well proportioned 17th century antique oak coffer. The antique oak coffer has a three panel hinged lid (retaining its original hinges) which opens to reveal a generous sized interior. To the front of the antique oak coffer are beautiful detailed carvings. Raised on stile feet. Item Ref; M-4078 . DIMENSIONS: Height - 64cm / Width - 108cm / Depth - 52.5cm . CONDITION REPORT: in good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, stains & shrinkage splits to the lid (pictured). There are marks, scratches, dents & fading to the wood around the sides, front & back which adds to its characteristics & does not affect the overall integrity of the item. There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone & has since been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak coffer remains structurally solid & sound. Overall, a good example of 17th century antique furniture. Our carpenter inspects, repairs, & restores our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is ready for your home!
