255 x 120cm The most beautiful rug handwoven by the women of the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. These brightly coloured rugs are created by weaving together recycled clothing & fabrics, incorporating a number of different textures creating one unique rug. You will never find the same again! However, in this case the maker has used a much finer wool, creating a much cleaner & simpler finish. This is often found in rugs from the Azilal province, which are much harder to source. Often these rugs from this province are largely cream, with simple geometric colourful patterns strewn across their canvas. This rug features a diamond motif that runs slightly to the right of the centre along the whole rug. Texturally this rug is incredibly soft & less harsh on the eye than perhaps some other rag rugs, given its use of finer cloth. The mixture in styles evoke a very unique piece, especially with the use of darker threads. If you live in Bath or Bristol, please contact me directly & we can arrange free delivery.
