Stunning antique four-piece silver plated tea set, consisting of teapot, water/coffee pot, sugar bowl, & creamer. All the items feature some exquisite decorative ribbed pattern & traditional design, the teapot & coffee pot also having bakelite handles. Please note that the teapot & coffee pot were made by Pinder Brothers, whereas the sugar bowl & creamer were made by John Turton & Co., both based in Sheffield. They are nonetheless matching in style, as can be seen in the pictures. All the pieces date from the early twentieth century. This set is a wonderful example traditional design, which has great ornamental value & would stand out in any setting. This set is in good antique condition overall, with normal signs of wear & use commensurate with age, including a couple of minor dings. The set has been polished recently, & is ready to be displayed. Coffee / water jug: W27cm x H24cm x D12cm; Teapot: W30cm x H15cm x D12cm; Creamer: W13cm x H8cm x D6.5cm; Sugar bowl: W16cm x H9cm x D8cm.
