Standing 15.5cms high this carafe ahaped vase was hand painted by G Franco at the Peluzzi ceramic studios in Milan Italy.featuring a harlequin or knave & floral motifs on a burgundy background.lovely condition. Ceramic manufacture has been active in Lavagnola, in the province of Savona, since the 1920s. The production, carried out by the owner Euro Peluzzi & some unknown collaborators, is inspired by the ancient local tradition & presents use & decorative artifacts in the Levantine style painted in white & blue, but there are also some examples in deco, futurist & twentieth century. Some works that came out of the firm's kilns are decorated by the well-known painter Eso Peluzzi, brother of Euro, & by some other artists of his circle.
