Here we have a beautiful studio pottery Flambe Vase. As with all studio pottery, this is a one-off piece which will not be found elsewhere - it is not straight off a production line, that is for sure. We really like the rather regal graduating blue ground which is interspersed with the 4 quartets of green, red & crimson - a clash of conflicting colours that for some reason does not conflict. Nice. We also love the fact that this piece is deliberately 'shabby chic' with areas of bleed, minor lumps & bumps & texture. If this was part of a range or off a production line these would be 'flaws' - with this piece it is hand made & these are deliberate; they add to the character rather than take away.
