The pieces are enameled on the inside with a satin white so you can use them every day. The lid is reversible, so you can use it to show the branch that serves as the handle or just the black stoneware part. For a correct closing (not airtight) of the lid, you will see on one side a small mark. You must match it on the lid & on the container. Luckily my hands don't make perfect pieces. That is, no 2 pieces are alike. To enjoy this jar & sugar pot for a long, just follow the instructions on the printed card that comes with the package. Remember to clean by hand & clean wooden parts preferably with a dry cloth. Important: These designs are not oven, dishwasher, or microwave safe.
