SearchTermRetired Awesome late 19th early 20th century pierced bread or fruit basket made of solid .800 silver. Ornately decorated with repousse center medallion depicting a pastoral picnic scene with group of young women & a young man. Goats are resting nearby & a pair of putti or cherubs play in a fountain to the left. The rim being pierced with shell & floral swag decoration & musical instrument medallions. Very beautifully rendered! Hallmarked 800 & a possibly a makers mark to the left of that but it's hard to make out. Measures 14.5in x 11in x 2in height. Weighs 16.80 troy ounces of solid .800 silver.
