This print is of a small street in Sibiu we happend to walk by on our way to the Holy Trinity Church on a walking tour. The view was just amazing, & I love how this represents the different levels in & hills in the city of Sibiu - it truly makes breathtaking city views. It is an original 5 colour, 4 layer print made with one block of hand carved linoleum. The first layers is a blue gradient, followed by a light yellow, a burnt sienna brown & a black layer. This print is a true reduction print as with each layer printed, more of the block is reduced, essentially destroying the block of linoleum in the process. Streets of Sibiu is an edition of 17 prints. The original photograph comes from my personal travel photography collection, & it is where all my printing inspiration comes from. This print fits perfectly into a standard 30 x 40 cm frame. Print Size: 20x30 cm Paper Size: 30x40 cm Paper Type: Schutpapier, Simili Japon, 130 gram, licht cream Limited Edition: This print is an edition of 17. The prints are printed by hand, using a block press that transfers the ink on the block of linoleum to the paper by applying pressure. Each print is unique & may have some variations in ink transfer. The paper is hand cut & might have the paper mills watercolor logo on it - this does not take away from the print & is barely visible.
