An original Art Deco mirror with great geometric lines. The mirror is made up of five parts, three mirrored sections & two chrome sections. The mirrored pieces consists of a centre plate with a bevelled edge & two outer sections that are bevelled edged too. These three pieces are cut as a cloud design, an Art Deco feature of the period. Sun bursts are also a period feature & this mirror has a superb sunburst effect. The two sunbursts are contained within striking chrome metal sections, the original coloured material behind provides the suns rays. There are no chips, nibbles or deep scratches on any of the mirrored sections. There is some silvering loss on the edges & the usual minor marks but all of this is consistent with the age of the mirror. There are some minor surface scratches but these & the age related marks do not detract from the overall quality of this mirror. The overall reflectivity is very good. All five pieces are mounted on a wooden backboard, the mirrored pieces are attached by traditional metal clips & the metal sections are screwed directly to the board. The fixtures & fittings are attached to the rear too. A unique mirror from a time of opulence.
