A multi coloured Art Deco mirror, built in a traditional striking beam design. There are eleven sections & four different colours. All the pieces are bevelled edged & cut to enhance the overall appearance of this original mirror. The centre plate is cut to provide the cloud design synonymous with mirrors of this period. It also has a a rear cut design which provides two period shapes, a flowing floral & a geometric pattern. Abutting the centre plate are two green mirrored sections that have a rear cut linear & bubble effect. They are topped off with two arc shaped mirror pieces. Next to these are two silver sections cut to enhance that striking beam design. The outer sections are black mirrored sections, both topped off with peach mirrored pieces. The mirror is in good condition overall, there are some age related lite surface scratches which are negligible when the mirror is hung. There is a small nibble on the lower side of the left black section & one under the claw clip on the same side, both of which are indistinguishable on the black glass. The centre plate is attached to the wooden backboard with a combination of traditional metal clips, claw clips at the bottom & two chrome screws with Tudor embossed washers. The remaining sections are attached to the backboard with traditional metal clips & claw clips. This is a quality mirror with a superb mixture of coloured mirrored glass.
