A large overmantel mirror with a beautiful traditional design. This original large overmantel mirror is in lovely condition, the nine centre panels making up this great piece have no chips or nibbles, there are some minor marks & surface scratches which are consistent with a mirror of this age. There is no foxing/misting & only minor silver loss which does not detract from the overall quality appearance, the reflectivity is very good. The top three mirrored sections are cut in a cloud design which is synonymous with the deco period. There are four outer panels, these a quite unique having no colour or etched pattern on them as most of the traditional designs have. The mirror sections are mounted on a wooden backboard, each section is held on the outer edge with traditional metal clips. The centre mirror plates are secured with chrome screws & Tudor Rose embossed caps, enhancing the overall appearance of this large overmantel mirror.
