This Rockpool is a perfect circle, made out of driftwood, shells, sea glass & other seaside treasures. This Rockpool is a celebration of the Scottish coast because I have included only beachcombing treasures that I have collected during my most recent visit to Scotland's west coast. The beaches between Mallaig & Arisaig are stunningly beautiful & the shells from there have such quality, such vibrancy & shine. This Rockpool was crafted with love & attention, choosing the perfect little beach finds, making sure that the colours & textures complement each other. All pieces are presented to you in their natural state, just how I found them on the beach. I never visit a beach without starting a collection of interesting finds... pieces of sea glass, pottery, pebbles, shells or driftwood. All the treasures are mounted onto a white background & the unique blue frame finalises that feeling of seaside, rock pool, coast & beach life. I spend a long time laying out the treasures first, matching colours, shapes & sizes. Once I am happy with the overall design, each piece is then carefully glued into place. This is an original piece of Art work - no two pieces will ever be the same. This Rockpool is a piece of art that would look lovely in any room of the house & would make a lovely gift for any seaside / beach lover. The blue frame really brings out the blue of the Mussel Shells. The blue for this frame was mixed by my daughter & matches the blue of the Mussel shells perfectly. It is such a gorgeous combination, perfect to add a bit of coastal decor to your home. The frame measures 45.5cm x 45.5cm (18inch x 18inch). The frame is glass fronted & can be hung on a wall. All beach treasures are mounted onto quality, white mounting board. The Rockpool will come to you, carefully wrapped in tissue paper, in a protective box.
