This Rockpool is a perfect circle, made out of a selection of black, blue, white & pink coastal treasures. This Rockpool started off with one black Queenie Scallop... so pretty. I have combined this black beauty with other black / grey beach finds, such as the Limpet shells from Camusdarach beach in Scotland, black pieces of driftwood & black Periwinkles The blue Mussel shells & the Pink Tellins add a gorgeous contrast & a beautiful splash of colour. Pearly white Top shells add the finishing touches. This Rockpool is a celebration of the beauty of nature that can be found on our coastlines. It is a kaleidoscope of texture & natural gorgeousness. Included in this frame are Striped Venus Shells, amazing Top Shells, Cockles, pieces of Scottish maerl, Scallop shells, Limpets & Limpet rings, pink Tellins & more. There is so much variety in this piece, you'll never bore of looking at it. All pieces have been mounted onto a white background & the frame is white, giving that sense of seaside, rockpool, beach life & being by the coast. This Rockpool was crafted with love & attention, choosing the perfect little beach finds, making sure that the colours & textures complement each other. I spend a long time laying out the treasures first, matching colours, shapes & sizes. Once I am happy with the overall design, each piece is then carefully glued into place. This is an original piece of Art work - no two pieces will ever be the same. This Rockpool is a piece of art that would look lovely in any room of the house & would make a lovely gift for any seaside / beach lover. The white frame measures 45.5cm x 45.5cm (18inch x 18inch).
