A Cyprus Cypriot sterling silver necklace, 16.5 inches, 42cm in excellent lightly used condition. This quality necklace was bought in Cyprus in the late 1980's & was originally bought with a matching bracelet, which is also for sale in my shop. This is a gorgeous necklace, which has been designed to sit very well around the neck. It is easy for the wearer to put on & take off the necklace & has a secure fastener, as well as two safety catches & a safety chain. There are photographs showing the fastening. It is hallmarked 925 for sterling silver (quite faintly). It is also hallmarked CAO, a fish & 925, which shows that it was assayed in Cyprus & tests as sterling silver. There is a photographs showing these hallmarks. This is a lovely heavy necklace which is beautifully made & lovely to wear. It will go with every outfit & is a classic necklace.
