This handmade bathroom set has been thrown on the potters wheel. There are 3 pieces, toothbrush holder, soap dish & a little drip saucer so that you can put it on a basin surround if necessary, & toothbrush holder. Approximate measurements: Soap Dish Width 14.2cm Height 3.5cm Drip saucer Width 10.2cm Height 1cm Toothbrush holder: Width 9.2cm Height 10cm It is made with a natural buff stoneware clay which has been glazed in a jade semi matt glaze, with imprint design. Shiney white glaze inside beaker. Makers mark visible (see close up photo's). The imprints on this piece are made with stamps, I make my own stamps using buttons & earings & a cork screw to hold them in place! The stamp is pressed into the clay, then once fired it is glazed, the imprints create a textural & decorative surface for the glaze to break over. Process Handmade pottery can seem expensive, the cost is due mostly to the time it creates to make one individual piece. Ceramic wares are thrown on the potters wheel, trimmed, left to dry then bisque fired, then glazed & glaze fired & finally bottoms are sanded!
