In Japan these cups are called 'Yunomi' & are everyday drinking cups. These handmade mugs or 'yunomi' tea cups have been thrown on the potters wheel, natural buff stoneware clay, chalk white domomite matt glaze, clematis imprints. Beautiful contrast of the warm green interior glaze. Approximate measurements: Width top 8cm Height 9.3cm Capacity: 370ml to the rim. These cups can be used for hot drinks, but not boiling hot, so that you can still handle it, green tea for example is made cooler than traditional black teas. The imprints on this piece are made with stamps, I make my own stamps using buttons & earings & a cork screw to hold them in place!
