This ceramic tile with the impression of the herb plant, Dill, can be used as a decorative wall hanging, as trivet for things hot out of the oven, or it can be used to cut & serve foods on. in the secret language of plants, the dill plant represents good luck & good fortune. It would make the perfect housewarming, bridal shower, or wedding gift. This pottery piece was made by pressing the fresh plant into a slab of white stoneware clay. I hand painted the tile with a colored clay slip & applied a lead-free clear glaze coating to make it food safe. The hanging tie is made of natural hemp. I grow the Dill herb plant in my garden alongside the vegetables. I do several plantings of dill so that I will have it fresh throughout the summer, & so that I can allow some of it to go to seed. I do a lot of pickling, so dill is an essential plant for me. I love it fresh in salads too. Herb prints measure approximately 7.75 x 5.5 Hand Signed Because this is a handmade item, each one is just a little bit different but is equally as lovely as the next. I made 4 in this small batch this year, & can choose the one you want from the drop down menu. #3 is warped but would be fine as a wall art piece. #4 has a slight warp on the bottom right corner that turns under. It is hardly noticeable.
