A rare original vintage Ercol carver chair. The Ercol model 493 chair was only produced between 1964 & 1967 which makes it particularly sought after & collectible. It stands out from more common Ercol designs with a curved seat back & two scalloped ladder-back slats, upward curved arms on diagonal supports & oyster-shaped seat. Constructed of Beech & Elm wood. Please note, the chair has been professionally sanded & refinished with a professional clear wax oil finish to ensure the beautiful grain is more visible & to remove all previous marks.
