Stay Golden Own a piece of history! This is a print enlargement of a real vintage Kodak Slide. Note this is a high quality photo of an original vintage slide, with age comes slight imperfections. The photo within the slide itself may have small nicks or scratches that show its travel through time. Arrives unframed What are film slides? Kodachrome 35mm slides are typically mounted on 2x2 cardboard, also called photo transparencies because they allow viewers to see through them like a window into a physical object. A Quick History of Kodak Slides: The 35mm Kodak Film Slide was introduced in 1935 & quickly became a popular choice for color photography. Many photographers loved the rich saturation & fine grain of Kodachrome film. It allowed them to capture stunning landscapes, portraits, & everyday moments with unparalleled clarity. The 1950s & 1960s became the Golden Era of Kodachrome & Ektachrome. Slide projectors became common in homes, where families gathered to relive their vacation memories or showcase special occasions. Sadly as digital photography options gained in popularity, the Kodak slide became a thing of the past. Kodak ceased production of Kodachrome in 2009. The last Kodachrome film was developed in 2010 for National Geographic at Dwayne's Photo in Parsons Kansas. How are they made into art prints ? I use a high quality camera lens & a creative lighting set up to capture the initial image of the 2x2 slide. I then edit each photo to make it suitable for printing. This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
