A beautiful Victorian tiger bamboo decorative table - perfect height for lamps or as a plant stand. This piece was looking really sad when I found it, but it had 'great bones' so I knew it was worth restoring.. After some tlc, lots of gentle cleaning & relacquering the tiger bamboo has come up beautifully with a gorgeous warm glow. The rattan to the top shelf was too badly perished to save unfortunately, but this gave me the chance to replace it with a completely unique design, in the style of other decorative tables of this period. The image is of a coy swimming amongst lilly pads in a pond in a muted blue-grey & has been sealed with layers & layers of shellac & lacquer to create an authentic aged feel. This piece really is one of a kind! Please note that although this item is fairly small & light, it will need to be couriered by a man in a van to avoid damage, hence the high postage costs.
