Made by British firm Everest in the early 1960s, this lovely long table features wonderful pinstriped mahogany & will add genuine Mid Century charm & quality to any interior. These surfboard coffee tables were made by Everest in relatively small numbers & retailed by Heals. This version is veneered with lovely quality, richly coloured & attractively grained pinstriped sapele mahogany & we have another in walnut & sycamore. It features a large surfboard-shaped top with beautifully chamfered edges, below which is a handy magazine shelf supported by interestingly shaped & subtly splayed cuboid legs. All in all it's a very rare & strikingly attractive coffee table, which perfectly encapsulates British design in the early 1960s. Eye-catching, charismatic & charming, it will add genuine Mid Century appeal & quality to any setting. CONDITION This is in good-to-very-good condition. Structurally sound, the top has been professionally refinished & the only minor flaws are the to-be-expected minor scratches, knocks & marks to the edges & some lacquer streaks to the legs, which aren't hugely noticeable but overall it's a fabulous Mid Century coffee table in lovely condition & if well looked after it should remain so for another 60+ years or more - please see the photos.
