Description
This handmade matcha chawan tea bowl is glazed with a white shino outside & inside. There are subtle color & texture variations created by the flame's contact during the firing. There color variations & textures complement the organic design of this bowl. Measures 3.25 tall x 4.5 wide (8.2 cm x 11.4 cm) & holds 12 oz. This bowl is semi shiny, & has a comfortable sturdy weight. Fired to cone 10/11 (2360 F) in a gas kiln. This temperature is at the top of the firing range for ceramics & makes the clay strong & vitreous. Food, microwave & dishwasher SAFE. Each pot is individually made by me on the potter's wheel using my custom clay & glazes that I formulate. I take great care & pride in my work to make sure I offer the best product I can.
