This beautiful serving dish is in excellent condition & would absolutely bring a dash of vintage glamour to Sunday dinner! Use as a serving dish, or simply as a pretty kitchen or dresser accent. Key Points: A floral serving dish / bowl Oval shaped with deep sides & a hand engraved design in rich brown, accented with dark pink, bright green & butter yellow Produced by Alfred Meakin, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent History: Of a small-medium size for a serving bowl, it would happily for example hold crispy roast potatoes, side dishes or display wonderfully on a farmhouse dresser with other vintage china! Alfred Meakin Ltd was set up in 1875 & operated from the Royal Albert, Victoria & Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. He was the brother of James & George Meakin who ran another large pottery company in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Year of manufacture: c. 1950s Pattern: Wild Rose Approximate Measurements: 22cm L / 17.5 cm W / 6.5cm H (at tallest point) Condition: in excellent vintage condition free of chips, nibbles or repair. It has a lovely clean interior displaying only very light utensil marks from use.
