With the true craftsmanship & stunning application of the 'agento' silver leaf shows impeccable skill & control. We feel it would sit comfortably in both vintage & more modern interiors, either purely as a decorative item, or simply to use as a decadent bud vase or candle holder! Key Points: A stunningly crafted cased glass bud vase/candleholder in the most incredible shade of cobalt blue with an abstract silver leaf inclusion pattern A really heavyweight piece, mouth-blown, with a ground glass base Believed to by Hadeland, Norway c1980s though unmarked A super display piece in incredible condition Good to know: Hadeland Glassverk is the oldest company in Norway that can claim continuous operation since its foundation, situated north of Oslo. Thought to be produced by Hadeland Glassverk chief director Maud Gjeruldsen Bugge, very much in her style & trademark blue colour palette. This stunning cobalt blue shade is her trademark & a lot of her artwork features this. Condition: Stunning condition for its age, displaying very minor to no wear - it has obviously been well cared for in past life.
