Description
This is a rare find - an earlier, antique pattern on a creamer & sugar bowl set by Noritake. It is designed in a striking red color with beautiful white flowers on both sides. There is also a single bud flower on the top of the sugar bowl lid. The red background is a wonderful burgundy red color. The leaf foliage is black. The gold trim has faded off the rim of the creamer but is still intact on the sugar bowl. This particular pattern is hard to find. The creamer measures 3.75 tall & approximately 5 wide from spout to handle with the base measuring 2 in diameter. The sugar bowl measures 4 tall & approximately 6 wide from handle to handle with the base measuring 2 in diameter. Both pieces are marked on the bottom in light red with the Komaru symbol crowned by Noritake in handwritten format & below that is Nippon Toki Kaisha. Both pieces are in good vintage condition with no major issues noted. The only issue noted is on the sugar bowl lid (please see last picture). There is a slight scratch or discoloration.
