HOW WE USE SUBLIMATION DYE Dye sublimation is a printing technique used to transfer designs onto ceramic mugs with stunning clarity & colour accuracy. The process begins with a digital image or design being printed onto a specialised sublimation paper using dye-based inks. Next, the printed design is carefully wrapped around the surface of the ceramic mug, ensuring proper alignment & adherence. The mug, along with the wrapped paper, is then placed into a heat press. Under high temperatures & pressure, the dye inks on the paper undergo sublimation, transitioning from a solid to a gas without passing through a liquid state. This gas permeates the polymer coating on the surface of the mug, bonding with the ceramic material at a molecular level.
